My Office
Hi, I’m Carrie Fox, APC
EMDR and attachment-based therapy for anxiety, trauma and emotional overwhelm
You may find yourself stuck in patterns that feel hard to explain—reacting more intensely than you want to, carrying persistent anxiety or self-doubt, or feeling the impact of past experiences in your present relationships and daily life. Maybe you’re navigating a life transition, struggling with overwhelm, or wondering why certain patterns keep repeating. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what’s underneath, and begin relating to yourself with more clarity and compassion.
I work with adults and teens, particularly women, young adults, and parents in transition who want to better understand themselves and create more ease in their lives and relationships. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in attachment theory, with a focus on how early experiences and family dynamics shape the way we connect, cope, and see ourselves. I integrate EMDR, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and attachment-based work to support clients navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, emotional overwhelm, and deeply rooted negative beliefs.
I see therapy as a collaborative process where healing happens through greater awareness, emotional safety, and new experiences. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that no longer serve you, build tools for emotional regulation, and work toward feeling more grounded, connected, and aligned with yourself. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and able to move toward lasting change with curiosity rather than judgment.
In her free time, Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband and two elementary-aged children who continually teach her about flexibility, patience, and humor. She enjoys watching documentaries, reading and listening to audiobooks, hiking, and connecting with friends over thoughtful conversations.
I would love to set up a phone consultation to answer any questions you may have, and to see if it’s a good fit for both of us. You can reach me at carrie@innerbalanceatlanta.com or (404) 590-4454.
